A Florida native, Michael Baxter began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, serving as a Career Criminal Prosecutor who tried more than 70 jury trials. He then spent 16 years defending hospitals and healthcare providers in medical negligence cases before joining the firm in 2015. He was named Partner in 2021 for his stellar representation of individual clients in Medical Malpractice claims.

- $4,086,000 verdict after an offer of $25,000 on behalf of a wife and daughter of a 72-year-old man who died following a cardiac procedure. The jury rendered its verdict in less than an hour after a two-week trial.
- $6,500,000 judgment for a young child whose mother died from failure to treat a bowel obstruction.
